Pride, prejudice and pots of cash

Gillian reports:
73 made it along to our private showing of Pride and Prejudice last Friday. The Provisional fundraising figure from tickets and the raffle is $1356.

People has a great time – they thought the show was very well acted and entertaining and they commented on the hospitality including all the wonderful home baking by the scouts (and a few parents).

We had two very happy raffle winners who picked up wonderful packs containing movie or theatre tickets, wine, coffee/tea packs and more.

A huge thanks to our sponsors and particularly Warrick McCluskey from Tommy’s real estate who gave a cash donation and wine.

All the Scouts in uniform looked very smart – and the leaders were in their flash civvies looking very glamourous.

(Note: big thanks to co-organiser Jenny and all who bought and sold tickets, baked and made sandwiches or otherwise helped out.)
