Our Scouts busy fundraising to help get to the South Island Staveley camp. The Brooklyn Scout Group have 18 Scouts attending the Mid Cantebury Adventure Camp at Staveley from Saturday 2nd to Saturday 9th January 2021.

Tonight we ventured into the town belt and (with limited resources) constructed bivvy’s. Luckily it was an unusually mild evening and as there was a limited water supply (collected from a local creek), their effectiveness as shelters was not really tested!

Keas discovered magnetism, the science of attract and repel and the incredible block connecting system (Lego!)

In typical Brooklyn Scout group fashion the serious adult reports were presented to the AGM in a youth inspired way.

Enjoy the show, note the words on the screen was all that was supplied, everything else came from the youth.
