The blindfolded scout has a really good pair of lungs & they know how to use them🫢 But here they had to use their ears and detect the thief!

What better way to end the night with a flash-back to a regular kea ‘end of night’ activity🤣

Who knew you could use pool noodles as lances and horses could be substituted with lashed ‘chariots’? Using plan – do – review the rangatahi came up with ‘safe’ way engage each other in a bit of combative sport (helmets were even worn!). The night finished with review of the activity (which we try to do after our activities if time allows😊)

Tonight we welcomed 6 Cubs and two new rangatahi to the Scout Section. What better way to start the year than learning how to work together to put up some tents!?

24 traps were made for the local Predator Free Group to distribute around the neighbourhood. They were too small to catch pesky Scouts though!
