Hall rejuvenation fundraising kicks-off with $10,000 donation

14_builder3We all know our venerable hall, erected in 1931, is in need of a bit of TLC.  It gets heavy use and has provided solid service for many years.  But better toilets, repairs and upgrades to the kitchen and basement and a host of other minor capital works are needed.

A working group of the Committee has drafted a programme of activities that will need in the order of $80,000 to achieve.

Wow – that’s a lot!!  Where is that money going to come from?

Well, we are stoked to announce that we have just received a $10,000 grant from the Wellington RSA towards this initiative.  This fantastic donation adds to the c. $20,000 the Group accumulated already through recent years of excellent fundraising.

The Committee is applying for some additional major grants in the coming 2 months – we’ll keep you posted.
