It’s only been 3 weeks back into Scouts for 2013 and already it’s been non-stop. Below are a few pics of the recent weekend camp at Saywells and a weekday BBQ event at Princess Bay.
Thanks to Scout Leader Bob for the photos.
So soon? Yup – get set to get wet at the Scouts National Mudslide Day!
In case you aren’t sure what goes on, check out the pictures from last year’s event.
Want to fly a plane? In Brooklyn Scouts? Read on..
Here is a fantastic opportunity for scouts aged 11+. The National Scout Aviation School is a week long activity with a terrific range of aviation related activities, see below. The course is heavily subsidised, sponsored by Air NZ and AirForce, so very good value for a fully catered week. But not exactly cheap! (If you would really like to go, but funding is a big problem for you, please let one of your scout leaders know – it may be possible to organise some fundraising activities in Term 1)
WHEN – Sunday 21 – Sunday 28 April 2013
WHERE – Fielding
COST – $340 plus optional extra flying (includes food & accommodation)
The course is SUPER popular so applications will need to be in in the next week – two at the most.
Contact one of the Scout Leaders for more information and an application form.
At little later this time, but worth the wait! One of the biggest and best attended group camps in manys a year: fire eating, trampolining, ball games, obstacle course, kayaking, rafting….
